Description
Brose was hired by Ohio University in 1982. He started as an Assistant Professor and eventually worked his way up to be a Professor of Family Medicine. During his start at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Brose practiced in-hospital and outpatient medicine in Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville, Ohio and in Athens associated with O’Bleness Hospital. He also established two new Ohio Health campuses in Dublin and Warrensville Heights, Ohio. In 2001, Brose became the Dean of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his time as Dean, the organization received a gift of $105 million from the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation. With the grant, Brose petitioned the Board of Trustees to change the college name to the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (HCOM). In addition to these professional engagements, Brose is currently a consultant to universities desiring to start new medical schools.
