Abstract
To advance our understanding of the drivers of phenotypic variation across environmental gradients, we characterize patterns of skull variation across elevational gradients in tropical Andean mice and evaluate three ecomorphological hypotheses—brain-swelling, expensive-tissue, and thermal regulation.
