What Controls the Nb/Cr Ratio in Rutile in HP/LT Metamorphic Rocks?
Abstract
The Nb/Cr ratio of rutile, a mineral in HP/LT metamorphic rocks, has been proposed as a recorder of rock protolith. In some cases, the Nb/Cr ratio disagrees with the apparent protolith. This research will explore the causes of these disagreements.
