Design and Synthesis of Novel Glucose Uptake inhibitors as Anticancer Agents
Abstract
Cancer cells are highly dependent on glucose for their metabolism. Glucose are transported into the cytosol of the cancer cell by a transmembrane protein called GLUT. The project is focused on improving previously discovered GLUT inhibitors from our group.
