Every fall and spring semester, students enrolled in Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism magazine capstone course create an issue of the magazine. Staff members explore the region for story ideas, conduct interviews, write and edit stories, take photographs and design the magazine in only 15 weeks.
Southeast Ohio is the country’s first student-produced regional magazine and a Society of Professional Journalists award-winning publication. Distributed in print twice a year, the publication covers 21 counties in Southeast Ohio and celebrates the region’s people, places and history.
