Abstract

I will present a poster detailing my work on studying accreting neutron stars using a new detector system called ASLAN that I designed and commissioned. This detector system enables me to study nuclear reactions that could answer some profound questions humanity has such as where did the heavy elements like gold, platinum and uranium came from? what happens when matter is pushed to its extreme limits?
