A Cheerful Heart is Good Medicine: Recalling Pleasure and Health
Abstract
Despite the wealth of research on affect and health, the differential impacts of two sources of positive emotions (e.g., sensory pleasure, social pleasure) on health remain largely unexplored. In the present work, I aim to fill this research gap by investigating the comparative effects of recalling social pleasure or sensory pleasure on various mental and physical health outcomes.
