By comparing the disinformation spread by the Senate Leadership Fund in 2024 with conspiracies surrounding the AIDS virus in the 1980s, and analyzing how the Senate Leadership Fund and Donald Trump’s rhetoric in political advertisements can be toxic to a democracy, the larger impact of disinformation can be seen.
