The Spinning Wheel: A site of reclamation and resistance for Indian women
Abstract
I analyse how creative resistance became a site of reclamation and transformation for Indian women against British colonial rule. In congruence with the written inquiry, I am creating a life-size ceramic installation of a spinning wheel as a feminist take on Gandhi's charkha.
