Protolith Determination of Subduction-Related Metamorphic Rocks: Comparing Bulk-Rock and Zircon-Based Approaches
Abstract
To better understand the composition of the ancient subducted oceanic crust, which can be altered during subsequent metamorphic episodes, this study utilizes the composition of the mineral zircon, which is more resistant to alteration.
